Global Communication Leader-Contract: 
This position is located in Houston, TX.  The role will facilitate communication processes and the development of a strategic communications plan to support the leadership and marketing efforts of the business.  This role is responsible for messaging, advertising, exhibits and the creation of communications. The role will develop and implement creative tools/techniques enabling sales execution, market acceptance of new products, business initiatives, internal/external branding and internal/external message alignment. The role is a critical partner to our Sales, Marketing and business leadership teams. The salary is 36 to 43 dollars an hour, 5 years experience and a BA in English, Journalism, Public Relation, Marketing Communication.Financial Marketing Communications Officer:
Develops, implements and evaluates institutional and project-based integrated marketing communications, including advertising Setting strategic marketing direction and initiatives to develop and implement Strategic Marketing Plan Coordinates the planning, production and delivery of new advertising campaigns, including TV, radio, newspaper, billboard and other media promotions Assists and directs special events with planning, coordinating, and acting as host for bank-related parties and seminars as needed. Represents the bank through ongoing, consistent civic, charitable or trade organization community involvement. Oversees and directs all outside marketing, design, and advertising vendors Assists with public relations and community relations projects, as needed. Corporate Communication Specialist:
Associa is looking for an entry-level communications professional able to write copy for internal and external corporate communications; cultivate relationships with local and regional media; and liaison with corporate and local management and other team members on communications projects. The Corporate Communications Specialist will interact with internal project champions across the org chart, as well as media contacts and third-party vendors and suppliers. Creativity, great writing skills, and a proven ability to deliver on deadline are key. BA in communication, 0 to 2 years experience and 35k a year salary.

Marketing Communication Manager:

  The position of Marketing Communications Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate marketing policies and strategies for company’s products based on market intelligence, sales reports, and new product development forecasts.  Responsibilities will include managing existing communications channels; identifying new media channels; and managing and creating communications through existing channels; managing marketing budgets and allocating resources to meet company goals. 6 years experience, BA in communication and salary is not specified.

Interactive Communication Coordinator
 The Interactive Communications Coordinator will assist in the coordination and implementation of NQRC interactive communications, which includes but is not limited to the Northern Quest Resort & Casino website, the Kalispel Tribe website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, online review sites and other social media platforms.  2 year experience, BA degree in communication, salary not specified.
 I have list five career jobs that I think that I would like to have but the one that stands out the most is the last on the list which is a Interactive Communication Coordinator, because working and interacting with people at a resort would be fascinating, also I would like working on websites such as facebook, twitter and linkedin. However; I would like to know about the salary. I think the work would be worth while and fun.

Media Technologies

Identify at least four different media technologies and discuss their uses and the audiences for which they are intended. Skype: This technology is used for interactive communication over the internet; most families use it to communicate with their children that are in college. This is a great way to do conference meeting from your living room and meet new people over the internet. This is also used to communicate with others overseas; there are people who use Skype to talk to their families that live out of the country and some use it to talk to people right in their own town because they do not have a land phone and it helps them to be able to save on their anytime minutes on their cell phone so the audience for Skype would be anyone that can use a computer. Yahoo:  This is a search engine that is used for e-mail, news, photos, Instant Messaging, games, chatting and much more. Most people use it to receive e-mails and to chat with others, also I think that use it to comment on articles listed on this site. The audiences that use this site are those who need site to obtain email, play games and chat. This is open to all ages and can be used for so many reasons and I think that the audience is a variety of people. Facebook: this media page is used to connect people from all over the world also it is used to network other business, most people come onto facebook to chat and to post pictures, blogs, notes and sometimes personal information, most sites on the internet have a large audience, although, some audiences should be kept away from curtain types of web pages and media tech because of security reasons. Myspace: This media page is similar to facebook and it also allows for interaction for people who live overseas and for distance within the USA so families can connect. People also use this site to network and to date, which is a large venue now when it comes to dating and meeting people from other countries. Like other sites this site has a large audience which is mostly adults.

 

Ten Commandments of Intercultural Communication

If I had an organization that was expanding and I wanted to grow my business then I would take it into international grounds in order to enlarge my worth. I would have to be able to communicate in a way that would be respectful to the people of that country or culture so that I can make business deal and build a relationship with other people.  I understand I have to be aware of differing social values, status and customs. I have to change some of my social skills I have learned in the United States and become accustom to those of other cultures. However, since some countries are high-context I would have to study non-verbal communication and learn when to use them and when not to use them. I would also have to learn which cultures are accepter of business women and which will not in order to know when to send a woman and when to send a man. Etiquette and legal actions would have to be studied in order to know the rules of the land and what steps I need to take in order to be in compliance with work and business regulations. For example, if I go to Africa and try and do business with some of the local business women in the land, I would learn their customs, when they do business, their etiquettes, behavior, language barrier, dress attire, and time that they do business in that country. Ambiguity is something that has to be expected when doing business in other countries and if one wants to do business in foreign countries then  should be able to operate in patience.

Conflict Resolution

I remember once during a trying time in my life I went over to my friend’s house to talk. I walked into her house and found her boyfriend sitting on her sofa while her husband was at work. She told me that she was not happy with her husband and she was going to leave her husband for this guy because a lady told her that this guy was really her husband. I thought that was an odd statement and I told her that she needs to think about what she was doing. I set and talk to the young guy and told him that what he is doing is wrong and he should leave before her husband came home. Meanwhile, her oldest son came over to visit and he became angry because this guy is sitting in his mother’s house. He went and got a bat and started beat her gate in her front yard, bending the metal and scrapping his hand. He began to scream and yell at his mother calling her names. I help de-escalate the situation by convincing the guy to leave and helping him to leave out the back door. Then I yelled at her son and told him that the guy was gone and was not coming back because I just heard your mother call off the relationship between them. He drop the bat and came in the house after some coaching; I stayed over and cooked dinner for her son which was calm when I left to go home. I forgot all about my problem when I got home because I was too busy helping my friend. The conflict resolution I used was de-escalation. The reason I chose this method is because it would allow for the extinqishing of violent anger and allow for everyone to be able to talk calmly using proper and respectful words to each other. I think this method was affective and it calmed down her son and allowed for the guy to leave the house unharmed.

Purpose in Life

Most people run around without knowing their purpose in life. They go to school for the money making careers but not for the purpose of helping others. I often wonder what my purpose is in life. As I go to a job I hate everyday, which makes very good money, I find myself wanting to be able to go on stage, sing or even coach someone to go further in their own dreams. I think the purpose of going to college is to live out your passion, your dreams, also to help others to live their dreams. Early in my life I learned that a dream becomes reality when it moves from your head to the path of others vision. They have to see your dream unfold into reality, into a functional purpose that changes negative views and encourage others to live out their dreams as well. I went outside my job that paid the bills to pursue a comfortable hobby that would help others, so now I do both, but when the bubble popped and the light bulb came on; I understood that this is my purpose and it did not feel like work. So if you have a desire or a passion which calls you night and day please pursue it, trust me, you will love yourself for it. - Poetic Justice
